Space Echo idea

Space Echo idea

2010-07-07 by David Griffith

While fantasizing about the Roland Space Echo, I fired off a post to
ModularSynthPanels@yahoogroups.com about shoehorning a Boss RE-20 Space
Echo into a module. One problem with this is that the RE-20 uses a DSP of
some sort. Can someone think of a solid-state way to capture several
seconds of audio signal so as to emulate the tape loop in the Roland
RE-201? The other half of emulating the Space Echo appears to be already
done in the form of the Q115 reverb module.

The instant the warranty expires, I'm mounting my Strymon El Capistan into a panel. (Thay are considering doing it as a company, but most likely in Euro.)
If you can get your hands on one, they are the shizzizzle!

Damn straight! :-) Looks like it will fit nicely in a 2U MU panel. (it may
be too wide to fit on a 2U MOTM panel) BrideChamber has these for the
adventurous DIYer that want to try to add voltge control:

I've got an El Capistan but only have one demo up so far. Not much of a demo
either, just one static setting I run a sequence through. Here it is for
what it's worth:
