any favorites in the cv digital delay realm?
i tend not to use tap tempo for anything.. just never quite seems to
sync the way it's supposed to for me.. no biggie though as my playing
style tends to produce somewhat amorphous tempos :P

i was also looking at the Hiwatt Custom Tape Echo which has an
expression input for motor speed. but this unit is getting harder and
harder to find.

that said i'm definitely leaning towards the cotk delay over the moog
pedal it seems to be at least a hundred bucks cheaper.. but alas the
size of that module has me planning my third 22 space cab. (i mean it
seems like a waste of an 8 module adapter for only one cotk module)
sigh.

I must reiterate that the Modcan Digital Delay is !@#$%^ amazing. It's
the best digital audio device that I've used.

the modcan digital delay does look pretty amazing, choices, choices.
i find that the modcan b series and the buchla 200e are probably the
2 most physically beautiful modulars available these days.

but i'm already invested in a dotcom system so..

how easy is modcan to dotcom integration?

probably gonna add a cv input to my boss-dd6 and have it as a "side
delay"

The ease of integration depends on your setup. I use 19 inch rack
frames for my Dotcom and Modcan systems, so racking is easy. I don't
use the same power supply, but I could. Modcan modules can be mounted
in MOTM rails and run from MOTM power with special 4-pin to 3-pin
cables. You could use either Dotcom's MOTM/Blacet adapter or MOTM's
Dotcom adapter. They both use 5v envelopes, but most Modcan modules
use 5v p-p oscillator signals. That's usually only an issue when using
a Modcan oscillator to modulate a 10v p-p input in the Dotcom system
(if you need extreme modulation). However, the Dotcom Signal Processor
and all Modcan VCAs can double the voltage of the input. Overall, I
love the combination.
