Elektron Musical Instruments

Hi everyone, ok I'm sure this is stupid question but here goes.. I am 
having trouble with the FX machines routing.  I load, for example, 
reverb on a track and I want to use it to effect another track in the 
pattern I'm creating.  I have read the manual about neighboring 
tracks and such but am missing something since I can't get the effect 
on the other track.  Any help would be appreciated, my brain doesn't 
understand routing apparently.  Thanks, -Scott

Also since we are on the routing subject, I read recently an article 
on the band Plumbline and how they run a cello into their Machinedrum 
inputs to get a unique sound.  This sounds very interesting, I was 
wondering how you MM & MD experts out there use the inputs to process 
sounds or instruments and any tips for people like myself just 
beginning to explore these possibilities.  Thanks again!
