I have found a solution to get rid of the noise. It appears to be some "grounding-? noise" that is made when the metal on the MD makes contact with the metal in a rack and only when the Mono synth is in the rack as well. ( I only had those 2 machines in that rack) I do not understand this. It is unlike any grounding noise that I ever knew existed. To solve the problem, I put both units in the rack with nylon screws and washers with also electrical tape across the metal rack to break any contact between the machines and the metal. They are both super quiet now and behaving quite nicely! If anyne understands this high pitch sound and why this happened, please let me know.
