Hey man, you hit the problem right on the nose!  Talk 
about "customer support"!  Thanks so much.

I went into Reason and found a setting for "latency compensation" 
which solved my problem.

This moves the raw source file on disk only. The archive index is not changed automatically, so you still need to run a manual refresh afterward.
