(using the "bank > select" MIDI command) This would be great. I can easily set up to accomodate specifying a bank for program change, and it keeps the association between the idea of presets (in software) and preset kits (in MD), allowing me to save the kit names in my sequencers. That way I don't have to remember that kit 61 is "light noise" and kit 23 is "dist inputs" when I want to call them up midway through a sequence. The names would just be in the program list. > 2) A SYSEX or CTRL-change change the kit. This would be less useful in sequencer-world, because my software does not let me associate specific controller values with kit names, but it's still faster than loading via front panel. > 3) A quick method of changing kit on the Machinedrum which doesnot > involve going to the Kit>Load menu. It's not such a big problem to go into the menu, for me. But because the MD exits the kit load menu when you load a kit, you have to hit 4 widely spaced keys if you want to load the next one. Sometimes I just want to step through the kits and heard what is in the BD instrument slot of each one. Changing kits up or down quickly would be handy. -Andr00 > > Could you who feel limited by the current implementation let me know > if one or several of these proposed implementations would be usable > for you? > > Thanks, > > Daniel Hansson, Elektron
