I'm an owner of an Elektron Monomachine and it is my only piece of hardware outside of my computer that I run all the typical apps on. I'm going to buy a MachineDrum in Sept... that'll be my second piece of hardware. Outside of those machines, which are definetely keepers, I'm looking at the Vermona Drum Synth and either a Roland SH-101 or a MicroMoog. I have a few questions. I'm wondering if the Vermona will be redundant once I have the Machinedrum? and which one oscillator synth is better overall... the SH-101 or the MicroMoog? I like that you can use the MicroMoog's filter through the input run external equip through it)... which I don't believe you can do with the SH-101. However, I like that the SH-101 runs on batteries, has a built in sequencer (even if primitive), and is cheaper than the moog...and easier to find... Both sound great to me. I have always wanted both the SH -101 and a Moog...but never bothered...but the time has come to buy one. Any opinions are welcome... thank you.
