Thanks for the response Chris... Interesting comments... As far as using the mpc to trigger notes on the MD, that is fine but the only problem is that you loose one of the things that makes the MD so incredible... The parameter locks... I wish elektron would make it possible to just use the parameter locks even though you would be sequencing the notes on an external sequencer... man that would be killer... cause you could add a shit load of spice to the beats and have longer sequences... Then all you would have to do is load an empty pattern with a specific kit an you would be flying... I actually use the mpc as the clock master. the only thing which I've noticed is that when you are on a track which is attached to the proteus, if you tweak the parameters on the md, it also tweaks the controller of the proteus... The way around that is simply to unhook the MD out and you're all set... I just prefer to focus on one machine when I'm playing live...I can't imagine working without the mpc though but solution is probably just to record the sounds from the proteus as samples and only use the MPC and the MD... I don't really mind that except that I loose the quality of the e-mu filters... ... What I would love is if I could just use the MD to trigger the next sequence on my MPC... Funny enough, the reverb button on the MD acts on the Next sequence of the MPC but it's a bit wild.. I don't know, it's trial time at the moment but I'm sure I will find a solution. --- In elektron-users@yahoogroups.com, Chris Stammen <Cosmiq@...> wrote: > > Andy, interesting! > I'm using the same kind of setup, but with an MPC-1000.. > Do you use your MPC as a main sequencer?
