erm yep ;} midi clock is independent of midi channels.

if you *dont* want to sequence the nord from the MD use: echoplex midi
out> MD midi in> MD midi thru> midi in on the nord

if you want to use the MD to sequence the nord go MD midi out> nord
midi in and set you MD midi channels to a channel you recieve on the
nord.. for this MD should be master clock. to stop MD sending note
messages from its sequencer go through global>midi map editor>patt &
set all mappings to -- painful i know :]

i dont think its patch dependent *not sure*

midi thru is a copy of midi data received at midi in.. including midi
clock. it should work like that. sounds like you were using midi out
from the MD?
you can't use the midi out from the MD.. unless MD is master clock, to
use it like this go to global> sync> tempo out> set it to on

good luck :]

it is probably best to use MD as master clock then you can sequence
tempo changes in MD song mode.. if you wanna
