right. usually the MIDI channel (1-16) doesn't matter when
transmitting/receiving MIDI sync signals.

My advice is to read the NM manual, especially the chapters covering
the various types of sequencers and sync modules.

I'm not in front of my NM1 right now, but I'm pretty sure you have to
use a MIDI global module to sync your NM patch to external MIDI.
That's what I usually do when I want to sync my sequencer patches to
my DAW or MPC.

Basically you set the NM to External Sync, then you use a Global MIDI
module to transmit the external MIDI sync to the seq modules of your
patch.

Don't forget to use a Clock Divider (the MIDI Global sync output is
24 pulses per beat, so you might wanna use a Divider set to 6 to get
a 16th notes sync pulse) and to have all your seq modules sync'd to
the same Reset signal, so they all start and stop at the same time.

hope this helps
leo
