Those are generally called "patch editors."  That's
what I started work on, but have too much on my plate
to complete right now.  The code for it is also on a
laptop with no power supply (and toshiba stopped
selling the PSU 2 days after mine broke, yay). 
Anyway, I mentioned the mobius more in reference to
people's request for the MD to include a sequencer for
the sidstation.

I'll check to see if I have a backup of the code on a
CD somewhere, but I'm doubting it.  It's also Linux
only (maybe Freebsd and/or solaris, but it all depends
on how portable the midi library I'm using is).  I'm
fairly certain it won't work under Windows or Mac tho.
