Hello Nick! It works to backup patches into thr MPC. Just record a sequence (about 20 bars, you can press stop when it\ufffds finished) put track 1 to the midi channel of you SidStation and record. Then press "Dump all" in the system->midi menu. The Sidstation sends the patches and the MPC records it to a sequence. Whenever you want to re-load your backup to the SS, just play the sequence. The Machinedrum Operating System is much too large (9 MB) to load it into the MPC. It can\ufffdt hold such big midi files. You will have to do this with a PC.
