Updating patches & O/S from MPC2000

Updating patches & O/S from MPC2000

2001-08-29 by evilteenagetwin@hotmail.com

Has anyone attempted to load patches into a Sisdstation or the
updated operating system into a Machinedrum, from an Akai MPC2000 ?

I don't have a PC at home, so am going to have to try both of the
above; any advice would be appreciated.

Thanks in advance.

Hello Nick!

It works to backup patches into thr MPC.
Just record a sequence (about 20 bars, you can press stop when it\ufffds
finished)
put track 1 to the midi channel of you SidStation and record.
Then press "Dump all" in the system->midi menu.
The Sidstation sends the patches and the MPC records it to a sequence.

Whenever you want to re-load your backup to the SS,
just play the sequence.

The Machinedrum Operating System is much too large (9 MB) to load it into
the MPC. It can\ufffdt hold such big midi files. You will have to do this with a
PC.
