I have one of those machines, and the tightness doesn't bother me at
all. The only problem I have had with the knobs were when I was
sitting in the sofa, programming patterns. Having the MD in my lap,
the tightness combined with the slightly slippery plastic knobs became
a bit irritating. Otherwise, not a problem.
