Thanks for the help Joe, About parLocks copy, you were right about RTFM ;) For some reason (probably drugs) i could not find the info. About the program changes, MD is on "sync out" and Evolver on "Midi Clock IN" position. The program change happens about a step too late. No matter what i try, it seems it's just impossible to use Evolver's sequenced programs in sync with other modules. Unusable in Live situation. I emailed Dave about this, he told me the "it's on the list and will likely be implemented. No dates set yet for new versions, but hopefully something will get out eventually" I really hoped the MD could take care of this problem, i guess not. I heard of others having this problem with the Evolver. So I don't think it's an MD timing issue. Basically, the Evolver wasn't made to be used in song mode, it seems. But what's happening? Is the Evolver sequencer getting completely out of sync timewise? Or does the program change message just arrive a step too late? Also, are you positive that the Evolver is using external clock (and that the MD is transmitting it)? Because if it's just receiving start/stop messages (and the program changes) and then using its own clock, it will get out of sync. > If only Dave would have included a way to make sequenced > change in sync...i stll can't believe he forget about this one, even > the Electribes have this feature. It does seem weird that he didn't include better MIDI functionality, given that he helped create some of the original MIDI-capable instruments. Maybe in an OS update? Either way, the Evolver still does a hell of a lot for what it is. > Parameter Locks: > > Is there a way to copy parameter Locks from a one step to > another ? Sheesh! RTFM! :-) In grid mode: hold the source key and press REC (to copy it); then hold the destination key and press PLAY (to paste the source to it). For more info, check manual pages 38 and 39. Joe.
