My MD is synced to Logic.
I trigger patterns on the MD with Logic: this way I can work on the 
song arrangement within Logic and still use parameter locks on the MD.
I can also record CCs in Logic: just hit record and twist the MD knobs: 
this lets me add more complex and longer variations, something that you 
can't do with parameter locks.

I had no need for a mixermap; anyway I remember that I have seen one on 
the net.
