First, you'd need a basic midi interface if you don't already have one. Edirol has a few cheap ones. You'd probably get a USB one. You'd need midi cables of course. Then in your control menu, you make this interface your primary midi device. Open the elektron OS in mid format with WMP. Follow the elektron directions for updating the OS. If you really want a mono, just get one. Updating the OS is usually easy with these dsp synths, it's the least of your worries. What you should be worried about is weather you are able to lead a normal life with one of these in your hands. Don't worry about basic questions.
