right on, Damon. I totally agree with you; I've gotten a ton of sounds from the MD that might have been easier with a sampler and a sample library, but I couldn't warp and twist them nearly as much if I had gone that route. and usually the warping and twisting leads to something even more interesting! I look forward to hearing how this can be done. it's one of the few sounds I never figured out how to do (it was asked in here quite some time ago, actually). another one is how to get the MD to say "Elektron" (I've heard that it has been done). :-) BTW, I plan on adding a "tips and tricks" section to the files section of the group's website. hopefully people can fill it with some interesting tips/tricks for the Elektron machines. this reverse cymbal thing is along the lines of what I'm thinking of.
