actually, although I think the bag is a great idea, a pelican 1500 case
(which
holds the MD beautifully, I'm told) runs about the same; in USD at
least.

ha! yeah, the bag looks sweet. I look at it the same way I look at
cases for my
drums: if I'm not going to be handling them the whole time or they'll
be banging
around a van, hard cases are the way to go. otherwise, for taking them
to and
from band rehearsals or gigs in my car where I'm the only one moving
them and
I don't want the weight of a heavy duty case to wear on me, I'll go
with bags. the
same goes for porting the MD to friends, gigs and coffee shops
(although I think
Damon Menne is the only one that does that! :-) But for air travel or
touring, a
hard case is certainly better.

doubt it. they just came out. Novamusik had them listed on their site
for the past
month or so, but I asked awhile back and was told that they weren't
produced yet
(no idea why Nova jumped the gun).

I remember. That was over a year ago! Just can't bear to part with
it, huh? :-)
