not to be a jerk, but the manual IS available at machinedrum.com and
it answers a lot of these questions.  I personally found it very
useful to read through it before the MD arrived; that way, I could
get to programming it right away instead of reading with it sitting
there unused :-)

I don't know about db25 connections. but I do know this: the MD
outputs are +4dB outputs.  so if you plug them into the -10dB
inputs, you're going to get noise and distortion.  the only way
around it is to attenuate them prior to sending them to the -10dB
input. the master volume can serve this purpose for the A/B
output, but you'll need a mixer to attenuate the C/D/E/F outputs.
unless your interface can switch to +4dB; if so, then do that.
