I'm syncing a 606 by way of a FR Mobius. Seems to work well.

Do you notice any percieved sync lag between your MD and 606? I have
a friend with a Mobius which I have used and my TR-808 does sit
behind the MD slightly when slaved through it.....?

Yup. Doepfer MSY2. Works a charm! Regarding your problem with the 808,
that problem is with the 808 itself I think. My 808 is lagging too
sometimes when synced. I've never experienced any problems with the 606
though.

Got some 606's slaved through a drumstations midi->sync24 converter.
Works splendid!

PS: Check out blacet research if you need a cheap midi->sync24
converter chip

im using din sync - midi converter to get rid of those lagging
issues. when using midi to din sync with an xbase and/or other
machines, configurations, sometimes the din clk can miss a tick or
two apon start. regardless of whether its 808 606. sounds like shit.
din sync to midi converter allows the natural swing of the roland
drum machine to determine the MD tempo (and everything else). very
funky, and rock solid - just like my ass, pecks and 6-pack.
