Loving OS 1.20 for MD :)

Loving OS 1.20 for MD :)

Man I love the OS. I can't tell you how annoying the Accent feature was before accenting
all tracks. It was practically useless. Sure a workaround was parameter locks. But now it's
so much easier and fun accenting specified tracks only :)

I still have a problem with the midi machines not acting right in
os1.20. Other than that I totally agree with you.

ahuh- me too, parameter locked steps affect unlocked ones in terms
of the note#
is this your experience?

Yes, Very good. I also like the individual swing a lot. You can make
stuff more organic with suble changes in timing. Love it.

Toni.

Out of curiosity, since I haven't played w/ the accent much, what's
the diff. between applying accent and parameter locking the volume on
a track?

Thanks,
ao.

AFAIK, none.

True. But remember you're limited to the # of parameter locks you can have. What is it 64
per track/step?

I think this OS upgrade is just unbelievable. Elektron added almost
*everything* we asked for (that made sense). There is no other
company in the whole industry that does anything even approaching
that level of customer involvement.

Kudos to Elektron!

I find it usefull for the whole process. Since I almoust always end
up with situation where I need to punch that snare up even more that
I had imagined. I've allready used the track level and volume, so
it's time for accents... And it's fast method to try different kind
of accents fast.

Toni.

That's happened to me.

That's way I asked to implement function+level; it lets you adjust
volume of ALL tracks, so that you can still raise the volume on lower
tracks that are already maxed out.
Have you tried that?

Accent is more for the groove!

I tried that the other day, thought it was an excellent feature and
real time saver. Good recommendation...that was implemented!

Yes, but muting via midi is still lacking
