hi there,
i have a monomachine and i just got a machine drum to go with it.
the go together great. of course the mono has a six track midi
sequencer, so you can program all your synths and drums from the
mono, or you can write your drum patterns on the mdrum and use midi
timecode or song pointer - i suppose either unit could be the master
but i like sequencing on the mono because you get 4 bars for each
pattern... i haven't got the mono os that has step sequencing yet so
i just chain patterns together..
before i got the mdrum i was using a novation dstation. it is an
808/909 emulator. it sounds really good but the mdrum add so much
life and unpredictability to the sound of the mono. together the
units offer an amazing range of sounds that allow you to take your
music into the nether regions.
bye from damien
