SID Station SysEx Direct Program query :-/

SID Station SysEx Direct Program query :-/

2005-10-11 by David Davis

Here, I am trying to use my Kenton Control freak to tweak
my SIDStation's filter resonance.

Using a diagnostic program on my PC, I am sure I am sending it
this hex string:

F0 00 20 3C 01 (00) 04 00 18 0F 04 xx F7

(where xx is a single hex byte from 00 to 0F,
ie 0 to 15 decimal)

Also the (00) is brackets,
i tried changing this to 06Hex,
cos page 39 of the Owners Manual say it is the "base channel",
and my base channel is 7.

But these messages do nothing :(
ANy ideas what I'm doing wrong?

That should work just fine. Have you tried it leaving the 00 as just
00? I have a little sid editor I was writing for Linux and looking
at my code I always left that set to 00 even though my Sid was on
various channels while I was writing it, and it always worked.

Yes, I tried leaving that byte to 00 as well,
it didn't make any difference!

hello, unfortunately the SID's filter resonance parameter is not
controlable via cc. as far as sysex goes, im not really sure.
there is a program that i made for the control freak se which will
control the SID via cc. its available in the files section. it may
need cleaning up for proper use in your setup.
good luck :]
