Patterns and song composition

2006-08-23 by Morris, John K

Does anyone know of some sites to visit for ideas on patterns and song
composition? I am just getting started with the MD and MnM so if there
are any sites out there specific to composing songs with them they might
be of greatest help. Thanks.

The most general (and useful) source for inspiration on this topic is the
music you already have. Pick a song you like, and map its structure out on
a piece of paper. Then use that structure for your own tune. You'll be
surprised how much you learn this way.
