Maybe, but not for me.
I can't afford it and I don't really need polyphony.

I'm more interested in the ease of use of the sequencer and synthesis  
capabilities.

I'm using software only these days, but would like an hardware  
keyboard to compose patterns.

don't necessarily thing of it as polyphony think of it as multiple  
sequenced mono synths. Thats where the comparison comes from.
