Exactly how versatile is the Machinedrum?

Hi, I am about this close --> <-- to buying a machinedrum. Everything I've heard sounds really good. I am now asking a favor of all of you who own an MD and who have experimented with its sonic possibilities. Tell me: just how versatile is this thing, really? I mean, obviously it can do electro drums, it can do techno drums, it can do house or trance....but I want to hear some stories from people who use it for IDM, triphop, hiphop, drum&bass, classical, country, etc. Have you ever tried to do a certain style with the MD, only to find that it couldn't produce that particular sound? What are the limitations? Are there any? Please, be as honest as possible. Thanks in advance, and hopefully I'll be talking to you guys on a regular basis! peace
