As I see it, it would have to be a kind of professional version of the Korg
ES-1. I use the ES-1, and it's really cool and very intuitive. It has a
couple of problems, though: only 1 stereo out, no memory addition possible,
stereo delay works on all instruments, effects and routing are very basic,
and using preproduced samples from your computer is kind of a hassle.

BTW, I would like to add to your list a kind of valve like overdrive /
distortion effect.

PS, if they would release a sampler like that, I would sell my Korg ES1 and
buy it!
