Help!

2003-01-05 by Robert Kaczmarczyk <rob.euroh1@virgin.ne

Happy New year people.

I'm running Logic 4.7 on Mac and am wondering how once I've downloaded
the kits from the sysex section of this site onto my mac, how to get
them into my MD? And obviously how do I share my own with you all?

best

Rob

Hi...
HAPPY NEW YEAR to you ALL!!! =: )

Just import the SYS Ex MIDI file in a Logic track and play the track.
That's all...
Just be carefull to:
- disable all sync options.
- a not too quick tempo (about 90bpm)
- same channel and MIDI port (of course)
- The ID device number of the constructer or use O (all)

Ciao

E12 instruments as tuned instruments

2003-01-05 by Crackpot

soemone asked me a bit back how to make tuned sounds in the
E12 paramter, and I just found a good example...

E12->RS
PTCH DEC HP RATL
-37 127 1 127

STRT = anything ( e.g. 41)
RTRG = 44
RTIM = 45
BEND = anything (e.g. -16)

also interesting is LFO on STRT times!

Use a program called SysEx 4.7.0:
http://members.cox.net/sgrace9/sysex/

It's great! Logic deals with standard MIDI files, not raw sysex (as far as I know).
If you try recording your sysex messages with Logic, you'll get a ".mid" file, not
a ".syx" file. You can use SysEx 4.7.0 to transfer patches into your
Machinedrum as well. Transfering patches and backing up data is what
SysEx 4.7.0 was designed for.

P.S. If you're running OS X, use this program:
http://www.snoize.com/SysExLibrarian/

Move to quarantaine

This moves the raw source file on disk only. The archive index is not changed automatically, so you still need to run a manual refresh afterward.
