somebody mentioned the accent thing. What I don't understand is why not use the vol knob and parameter locks for this function. Of course this takes up parameter locks. I vote for a pong game to be added. When you hit the ball and it hits the wall it makes a random sound with some machine. As you raise the tempo the ball moves faster. That would rock in a we did it because we could kind of way...

We have already collected feature suggestions and bug list for MD OS
update some weeks ago. You can find it from older messages. It was
also posted to Elekronn. I can't remember if it had that accent-idea
allready (there were about 30 feature suggestions(!) and 10 bugs),
but nothing stops you from sending it to Elektron.

it'd be more fun to play (and probably easier to play) on the MnM
with the joystick :-)

Hey!

Well, first of all, I'd really like the a pong game too!
Second, my accent suggestion was significantly different to this idea. I
suggested a feature where you can set up the accent amount for every
_machine_ instead of every step. Like the 808/909 etc. I'd make the accent
feature much more usable...

word up jasper ;)
i dont use accent very much because of the lack of control over
individual accented drum sounds.
maybe bar pong and add a "build-it-yourself" machine instead!
(where possible?)

i would really like to be able to select a sequence step in midi
machines and add a control change parameter lock to that step,
without nessecarily trigging a note.

hmmmm...md is the shits!

Another thing when talking about accent, the Roland TR-606 accent does not
only work on the step volume for the accented sound. it opens up
the filter a bit more, lengthens the decay of the sound too.

Building the perfect accent thingie to mee should mean that you could
customize what parameters the accent should affect. How about the
distorsion for example? SRR? Hold for the B2 kick? Pitch?

There are too many choices, so I'd say that Elektron took the easy way out
with just volume. The only doable way...

It seems like setting up the accent as kind of "parameter lock template"
would solve your problems, it could default to volume modulation, but be
modified per track/machine to include any parameter, just like setting a
parameter lock on a step. Probably would take a lot of extra work to
implement though.

cheers

"I vote for a pong game to be added. When you hit

LOL! I sent the exact same idea to Elektron 3 years ago :)
They said that they thought it was a cool idea, but that the music/bug fix areas were their
highest priorities. Either Daniel or Henrik (I can't remember which one), from Elektron
offered to send me an API for developing a game myself, but at the time, I didn't know any
assembler and was just starting to learn C++. I could probably do it now if I had enough
time (I'm quite busy with school). It would be such a 1337 feature!
