little Mono Machine bugs

little Mono Machine bugs

2004-03-29 by sirsimonjames

I'm a new user of the Mono machine so these things could have a quite
simple solution.

Firstly i notice that sometimes when i am playing from the trigger keys or an
external keyboard there is a problem with the triggering. When I hit the key the
correct note sounds but as soon as i release the key the pitch changes. this
happens each time I play a note, the pitch always returns to the same on
every release.

Second, when I load a kit some of the machines don't play instantly, even if
they are un-muted. i have to go into the setup menu and hit enter to make
them sound.

Like i said there may be simple reasons why these things are happening, i'd
be interested to know if anyone else has the same issues.

Apart from these things i am having a great time. Full credit to elektron.

Your first problem sounds like a "stuck note" type of problem, which used to happen a lot in the early beta OS, but I
hardly see it anymore. If you figure out how to make it happen, report it as a bug and I bet they'll squash it.

The second thing is something I run into once in a while but am having a hard time reproducing from a blank kit.
Especially when using Input B as FX source (which I do a lot), I will often get no sound after loading a kit until I do
something in the kit setup (like switch to a different effect) for that machine. Then I reload the kit and everything
works as expected. Again, if you figure out how to make it happen (or I do) and send it in as a bug, I bet it will be
fixed promptly.

I get the stuck note problem quite often, running the latest OS. You can
tell which note is stuck by looking at the LEDs above the keys, but usually
it's not a note that I had previously played. strange.

Yes I have the latest OS too. i just played around and worked out i only get the
stuck note situation when playing in poly mode. It is a strange thing though. Its
hard to explain what is happening. It seems pretty random.

Hope Elektron fix this in the new OS update soon.
