synth buddies

2004-04-05 by sirsimonjames

I just hooked up my Monomachine to my Dave Smith Evolver and it works like
a dream. Triggering sequences or just programming from the MM trigger keys
both work well. I have the Evolver audio routed through the MM too. One
question - Is there a way of just switching the FX channel on the MM to ON
Without having to trigger each step or have a long envelope that just stays
on? This is probably related to the 'machine/seq switch bug' but sometimes
when switching to a pattern with an FX machine the FX don't always trigger,
even though I put a trigger on the first step. It seems a bit hit and miss.

I guess the Elektron crew must still be away as I haven't heard anything back
from them about the bugs we are all experiencing.

Have you been submitting bugs to their support aliases? They do not
monitor this forum actively, only as they have time. This is not an
official support forum, just a user community, even though it was dual
purposed during the beta phase of the Monomachine.

Yes I have emailed Elektron with my bugs. I got a reply today saying 'Please
check for OS updates on our webpage!'. As I have the latest upgrade this isn't
too helpfull. i can only hope this means a new OS is coming soon. From what
i've read here about the Elektron support I expected a bit more than this.

Move to quarantaine

This moves the raw source file on disk only. The archive index is not changed automatically, so you still need to run a manual refresh afterward.
