monomachine song-programming

in songmode if you mute tracks when editing "song extra settnigs"
these mutes seem to be separate from normal manual muting - so that
you cannot unmute them unless editing a new row for a song with
different "song extra settings", am i being right? atleast i couldn't
unmute tracks after making song row mutes... feels that this is
intentional (but NOT very handy for live use...) rather that a bug.
though in manual (page 80) it is said:
"The global mutes applies as well as the Song Row Mutes. Tracks muted
in the either the global mutes as described in section "THE MUTE MODE"
on page 67 and the Song Row Mute mask will be muted for the row."

any comments?

this is the same as in the Machinedrum - the song row mutes override
the normal mutes. you can mute something from the normal mutes
even when the song row has specified it as unmuted; but you can't do
the opposite - unmute something that the song row has specified as
muted. it makes sense to me, since generally if you're using song mode
then you don't want to have to mess with muting and pattern switching
anyway. but I always thought it would be cool and more intuitive if the
song row mute mask was simply reflected in the global mutes and that
their mute/unmute relationship was bidirectional. but it works well as
is :-)

hmm, ok thanks.
patterns can not have BPM or muting programmed in them, so i need to
use songs anyhow in livesituation (atleast to have the right BPM in
the song)... but i guess i just need to make the "initial" start-row
for the song and then another row with all tracks on and go on muting
and unmuting from that...
