thank you. i may need to replace ic chip. I just attemped everything on another older pc and no success with a sample dump. it wouldnt be a big deal not being able to do sds, i just don't want to fiddle around with loop points on the emax. it's so much easier and precise to set loop points with soundforge. but when a sound needs to be played on an emax, there's no substitute in my opinion.i'm going to look around for an old soundblaster 16 and give it a try.
