The after market prices however, are not always prohibitive. The IDE versions occasionally sell for $25-50 on eBay, but the SCSI prices vary widely. I missed out on a SCSI one a couple of months ago that went for a mere $25, and then there are others with starting bids around $160-175 US. Now that's within the realm of SCSI PCD prices, so not terrible, but not a steal either.
My concern was how they implemented SCSI and its compatibility with an Emax I. At least one model explicitly stated SCSI 2 on it's datasheet so that the backwards compatibility question comes up.
If I can find one cheap enough, I will test and update the database unless someone else chimes in to say it's been tested already and didn't work.
