It sounds like old components.... at least its confined to just the
sampling input.

I'd suggest you take the emax to a repairer and get the audio in circuit
re-capped. It could also be the silicon, so probably worth your while to
get any opamps in the input circuit swapped out too.

This moves the raw source file on disk only. The archive index is not changed automatically, so you still need to run a manual refresh afterward.
