Hi,

What is the different between the ComPort on the computer main board 
and the Com Port on older soundcards?

The reason I ask this is that I have a Y-cable midi/com and on my new 
PC I have only one comport (if I don't put in my old soundcard), and I 
think that the usb/midi connectors is expensive.

I do also wonder what is the different between the Y-cable ps2/usb and 
midi/usb, more than the connection size?
