Now that's the big secret :-)

I certainly didn't get the information from E-Mu Systems.
In fact I didn't really ask them. 
Well, I figured it out myself - but I can guarantee this was no fun 
at all and also very time consuming ! 
And my EMAX 2 did suffer from this process: my baby is almost dead :-(
I hope it will survive the software release, otherwise I can't test 
it anymore... 

Anyway, figuring out the specs myself is a good excuse for not having 
to promise that the software will ever be bug-free :-) That's why it 
will be free without guaranteed support.
But the current pre-alpha version on my PC handles all test banks 
(both compressed original EMAX ZD-images and my own 16-bit-images) 
100% correct so I think it's going to be OK...
