yeah I remember you talking about getting an emax to replace the Sp12T from the MPC forums.
The other thing that might be happening is the emax might be out of calibration, if you grab the MUST disk you will have basic sine waves to test with, but you can get into the calibration page by going to master, special, and hitting one number above the last menu option, then entering the code (emax on a telephone keypad) then you have access to the calibration controls for vcf, vca, etc. the pdf of how to use the calibration controls is at the emulator archives or the files section.

No. Well, probably not as it is the same for all my programs. I spend all of last night auditioning the banks on the HD and some of the ones on floppy and they all behave the same.
Im back in my studio on Tuesday so ill start from basics with a new program. I also have a basic midi controller keyboard with no after touch so ill use that.
I really never thought I would have a sampler back in my studio as this is the one area where I have gone software based. Sold my E5000Ultra quite a few years ago and really never miss it, but the Emax just sounds so good.. I actually used to have a SP12Turbo but sold that about a year ago as really did not need another drum sequencer and figured I could replace the sound with an original Emax - took me a year to find one..
Will let you all know if I find the problem (I like to close threads)..
