Problem is normal floppy drive formats to 1.44M size. Emax formats floppy to only half of that -720k size. Normal floppy has jumper set to DS1 (disk #1). Emax floppy is jumpered to DS0 (disk #0). Look for jumper labeled DS0 or DS1. Normally, jumper will be on DS1- but for Emax, move jumper to DS0. Also- all floppies MUST be DSDD (720k), not DSHD (1.44M). To use a HD disk, you must cover the hole in the corner (not the hole for write-protect - no writing of floppy, but the hole in the other corner). Hopefully that will help you.
