Re: [emax] emx for mac os 9

2006-07-20 by cruising@...

Hello Nicholas,

The only two programs i know are Sound Designer and alchemy, under
mac 7.5..
I am looking for the same thing as you : to be able to stock and
transfer sounds from my Emax Sehd and Emax II to my Mac (os X),
an/or transfer them to my E4xt...
I think I found a way, but didn't yet tested it completely : I got an
EIIIxp who seems to be quite compatible with the Emax II banks by Scsi.
The EIIIxt can import samples or complete banks from a Scsi strorage
of the EmaxII, and save banks as EIII.
So I can now take banks in Emax1, transfer it to the EmaxII that
converts to 16bits, and transfer it to the EIIIxt...
I read the the banks of the IIIxt are compatible with E4, but didn't
tesed it at this time.
Next step will be to add an scsi card to my g5 to make communication
with the E4 possible...

Cruising
