Sure, the next version supports Akai S1000->WAV conversion, and also the other way around. It just doesn't support Akai S1000->Emax yet (Emax->Akai S1000 however will be supported). Akai features in v2.00 are: - reading/writing/formatting Akai S1000 Floppy disks (HD and DD, but I'm having problems with DD disks, so the DD-disk support will be an "unverified" feature :-) - reading/writing includes: S1000 sample files, S1000 program files and S1000 operating system files (not drumfiles) - Akai S1000 Sample <-> WAV conversion - Emax I/II -> Akai S1000 programs/samples conversion Akai CD's/Zip disks will not be supported (yet). I'm doing final tests on the akai features, still finetuning some parameter translations like envelope settings and filter settings. But it's already being used in my studio and it looks fine :-) By the way: the very same V2.00 will also include support for reading Emax CD's or any other type of Emax HD. I'm putting it into EMXP right now :-) Version 2 will probably be released within 2 weeks... ///E-Synthesist --- In emax@yahoogroups.com, "soundcrafter" <aurastar@...> wrote: > > Will the next version be able to convert Akai S1000 -> Wav? > > For those of you who may have been sleeping on EMXP, get it... it's > fantastic! > > > --- In emax@yahoogroups.com, "esynthesist" <esynthesist@> wrote: > > > > Maybe this could be useful for some of you... > > And maybe some of you already discovered this... > > > > If you create backups of your Emax zipdisks (100M or 250M), e.g. > with > > EMXP, and you change the extension of the backupfile to .ISO, you > can > > burn this image directly to a CD and use it in your Emax. > > Indeed: if you put this CD into the SCSI CD-drive connected to > your > > Emax, the Emax will recognize the disk.
