THere is already an Akai S1000 to Wav converter, I used it a few years ago, simple program, works fine.

  Sure, the next version supports Akai S1000->WAV conversion, and also
  the other way around.

  It just doesn't support Akai S1000->Emax yet (Emax->Akai S1000
  however will be supported).

  Akai features in v2.00 are:
  - reading/writing/formatting Akai S1000 Floppy disks (HD and DD, but
  I'm having problems with DD disks, so the DD-disk support will be
  an "unverified" feature :-)
  - reading/writing includes: S1000 sample files, S1000 program files
  and S1000 operating system files (not drumfiles)
  - Akai S1000 Sample <-> WAV conversion
  - Emax I/II -> Akai S1000 programs/samples conversion
  Akai CD's/Zip disks will not be supported (yet).

  I'm doing final tests on the akai features, still finetuning some
  parameter translations like envelope settings and filter settings.
  But it's already being used in my studio and it looks fine :-)

  By the way: the very same V2.00 will also include support for reading
  Emax CD's or any other type of Emax HD. I'm putting it into EMXP
  right now :-)

  Version 2 will probably be released within 2 weeks...
