I think this kind of problem has been reported already many times on this board... Many floppy drives in EMAX-I and (only) some floppy drives in EMAX-II have a different calibration than the ones in PC's. EMX does not take this difference into account while formatting disks. When I created EMXP (EMX for WinXP) I discussed this problem with the guy who develops OmniFlop, and he tweaked his driver and explained it to me in order to support the "most common" type of floppy drives in EMAX samplers. So maybe you can try EMXP (with either OmniFlop driver or the driver delivered with EMXP - the tweak is supported in both cases). You'll need a WinXP PC with internal floppy drive for that. It's still not 100% guaranteed however that it will work, but you'll have a lot more chance than with EMX for DOS. Another fallback could be CopyQM, which also gives better results than EMX. For CopyQM you'll need a DOS PC. All programs and files can be found in the files section. ///E-Synthesist --- In emax@yahoogroups.com, Jip Harrio <harrioj@...> wrote: > > I went through exaactly what you are going through. > > > > --- booboopus <mail736786@...> wrote: > > > Hi there, > > > > Is anyone out there able to send me a boot disk for > > the Emax 1.
