Re: [emax] Re: Boot-up errors

2009-02-05 by Ted Summers

I don't have schematics, but reading the diagnostics manual....
from emax 1 diagnostics, the tests are sequential. If emax 2 is the
same.....
The transpose being on, means it cannot properly see the analog board or the
query to that board froze up.

LSI- stands for Large Scale Integration, used in describing the IC's. (read
large # of transistors make up the IC).

So drive select and Master on probably indicate the LSI chips are either
having a bad connection issue or are actually bad.
And the Preset so floppy doesn't work....

What I am thinking is that the IC's have all come loose.

Please take static-safe precautions.
Remove the board(s) from the Emax and set them on a flat, static safe
surface.
Completely remove and reinsert each socketed IC one at a time.
Replace the board in the Emax2
Disconnect and reconnect any connectors to the boards that were previously
not disconnected when removing the board.
Then try powering up again.

Regards,
Ted
