Re: EMAXII errors: "No Presets Exist" and no memory

2010-08-13 by Lee

Hi,

Thanks for the advice about the Transcend cards. I have some Sandisk and Kingston ones but they kept giving me SCSI hardware or media errors. I will persist with them though. Get a few variations of cards.

Yeah - when I clear the bank, the memory returns to full capacity and I can always load from floppy or from external SCSI Zip.

If I boot from floppy with a bank or create a preset, I can then swap to the internal CF card and save the bank there. It seems to have done it (no error messages)... then - the no memory issue and the lovely "no presets exist" message. I'm using OS 2.14 and will try a few other floppies, just in case the current disk is corrupt, which is may well be. Thanks for pointing that out.

When I check the memory, it is full - no space at all to create anything! I can clear the memory and return to the full 8 megs and I can switch to the floppy drive and work from that, so it's this problem is not locking the machine up, and there are no hardware or SCSI errors, just memory issues.
