ok i finally got one of these bad boys from the toronto kijiji and i just wanted to know if it's possible ever to use a cf card drive with it(it's a model 1000). the board versions are:

  PCU PCB: PC327 Version 2, Revision C

Analog PCB: PC326 Version 3, Revision C (assembly revision b)

Panel PCB: PC319 Version 1, Revision E (assembly revision e)

it doesn't have a working disk drive so i have to get a new one and also there is no lcd screen since he accidentally broke it and then removed it when he replaced all the led lights(i did the research here and know which replacement to get from rs). otherwise it looks mint and i only paid $80!

looks like replacing the lcd might be tricky since i think i'll have to remove the keys and a few other things to get at it. i noticed some weird red contraptions underneath where the lcd must be soldered and was wondering what they are. looks like some sort of clips or something... maybe i don't have to solder just stick the pins in and fasten the clips?(if in fact that's what they are)

no more lurking for me! also glad to finally upgrade from my trusty mirage after 20 years of dedicated use, although i will still use it :)
