Maybe the drive is bad, maybe bad SCSI cable. You also haven't told us step for step what you have done. If JP6 is on and JP1 is on, did you then: boot from floppy set SCSI ID in Emax2 menu for ID1 try format HD Without exact steps and key touch, we cannot know that you have done all the proper steps.
