ues it needs a slim floppy adapter jm125a and that needs to be adapted by cuting traces and wiring links
i have done 20 upgrades of this for different samplers
including emax1/2 ensoniq asr10 and eps16+ korg dss1
if you read teds proper explination it would explain that you need the slimfloppy adapter and adapted to teds changes for ds0 operation
if your old floppy now does not work then you have damaged the floppy controller

>>>I apologize, Ted, that my message upset you. it wasnt aimed at you or anyone in particular. i am just beyond frustrated with this project, which quite frankly, is reaching diminishing returns.

>>>i agree with this, you are one of the top experts on this, and have been helpful. that said, following your advice and recommendations hasnt really worked for me-- in fact, now i've gone backwards and i have an emax that wont even boot. i've likely fried the floppy controller on the emax and may have damaged the scsi bus as well. because im persistent/stubborn, i still hope to bring it back.
> A standard 34 pin floppy does not have DS0 (drive select 0). So unless you know exactly how to modify the cable that drive isn't going to work.
>>>are you saying the flat ribbon-to-34-pin-floppy cable that came with my teac fd-05hg also needs an additional adapter to work?
