Perhaps I should add something to my previous reply.
When accessing removable disks, EMXP almost always requests an EXCLUSIVE READ and WRITE access. This means: no other software should have access to this disk when EMXP is trying to access it.
This means that even software like Windows Explorer or similar should not have a view open on the disk. 
If you have a (windows explorer) view open on the J-drive, EMXP will return error 87. In that case, simply close windows explorer, or change the view in exploere by clickin on another drive, e.g. your hard drive...
If explorer is not open if EMXP returns 87, there may be some "background" software active which is holding a lock on the J-drive.

This moves the raw source file on disk only. The archive index is not changed automatically, so you still need to run a manual refresh afterward.
